Akhirnya Christiano Ronaldo memenangkan piala Ballon D’Or 2013, setelah mengalahkan Messi dan Ribbery. Pengumuman pemenang dibacakan oleh legenda Brazil: Pele di Zurich, Swiss Selasa WIB dini hari tadi. Secara emosional dia maju ke podium dan menerima piala tersebut. Dia sampai menangis untuk membacakan ucapan terima kasihnya. Dia mengajak putranya naik ke podium.

“Aku berterima kasih kepada seluruh rekan-rekan setimku di Real Madrid dan Portugal, aku tidak punya kata-kata untuk melukiskan momen ini. Aku sangat bahagia.”

Dengan kemenangan ini berarti dia sudah dua kali, sebelumnya di tahun 2008 dia meraihnya bersama Manchester United. Melihat dia naik podium dan menangis saya jadi ikut terharu, dia kayak frustasi empat tahun ini gagal mulu dilewati Messi. Pagi tadi dia kayak pecah bisul, akhirnya menang lagi. Padahal dia sudah merasa layak menerimanya tiap tahun karena selalu tampil sensasional bersama Madrid.
